Recently i have been hanging out with some old friends, and made a group of new ones.
This is really one of the things that really draws me to fishing. Its not the fish you catch, but the people you catch them with. For too long i have been a purist to fly fishing, and i will even admit to a certain point i even looked down on gear fishermen. Two days ago i ordered a new Powell Max 702 and matched it with a Shimano Sahara, this all because the ponds ive been fishing with my buds are weedy, and my good ol' trout stick just doesn't cut the mustard anymore.
For the last two months, i have become a bass commando.
Almost every other day i am on the water, and what i love about bass fishing is that things only get better when the sun goes down.
Thursday was a banner day for bass fishing. Went exploring to a new pond, which was kinda a bust. Then headed over to a new little pond, and smacked em. WE (team effort) probably landed close to 60 fish on the day.
The real story began well after the sun went down.
Me and my bud dougie hit a local pond. Got a few fish. And then dougie caught "the one." This bass was well over the magic number of 10 pounds.
It was a team effort
